Charity

After Tricia Penrose’s mother Sue was sadly diagnosed with lung cancer during 2010, she soon became actively involved in raising awareness and personally started to raise money by supporting charitable causes and events. This valuable support soon led to Tricia becoming a recognised official ambassador for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation based on her proactive charitable work.

Also, to raise additional funds for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, Tricia recorded “You Had a Dream in Your Heart” written by the organisation’s founder Professor Ray Donnelly.

Tricia has also ran in the 10k Great Manchester Run to raise money for the Christie hospital who provided specialist cancer care to her mother Sue Gordon. To thank the organisations who provided invaluable support to the family, Tricia still continues her fundraising efforts.
